Built upon the solid foundation of knowledge derived from elite competitions in SBK and MotoGP, the revolutionary T-Drive disc represents the natural technical evolution of Brembo’s latest-generation competition brake discs. The unique configuration of this disc, characterized by the eight “T”-shaped pins and eight distinctive shapes in the housing of the braking torque transmission system, emerges as an innovative element that sets it apart from discs using cylindrical bushing systems.
As a result of specific studies on machining processes and tolerances, this unique configuration allows for a more effective transfer of braking torque, ensuring improved resistance to thermomechanical stress, especially under extreme usage conditions such as racing.
The connection between the housing and the rotor is secured by a special guillotine locking system, enabling radial and axial float. This innovation not only enhances system efficiency but also significantly reduces the total disc weight, providing a substantial advantage in terms of maneuverability compared to traditional hub systems.
